As I begin my second semester here
at CSU Stanislaus, the new work schedule is beginning to cement. However, I
have noticed the work load is becoming more reading based. Let me just say.
BORING! I’m all for reading here and there but I feel as though all I have done
so far, this year is read and read and read. I know we are only two and a half
weeks in and it might change later in the semester. Maybe because its early in
the semester and the classes are trying to introduce us to the material?
Whatever the case may be, the reading load is substantial this semester so far.
In my philosophy class, we print out pages of some philosophers writing and must
read all of it. When I say pages, I mean at least eight pages. Unfortunately, our
English class has come to this as well. with three different essays to read
every two days, that’s a lot of reading. Quite frankly I don’t have the time.
it is hard to do when you got an Xbox to play, a girlfriend to talk to, and friends
to hang out with. Not to mention the excessive naps needed for a student in
college. On a serious note, reading is fine in moderation, but if flooded it
can be difficult to retain the information that is read. I do enjoy reading and
uncovering deeper meanings and debating on issues discussed but too much
material can take away from the experience.
"it is hard to do when you got an Xbox to play, a girlfriend to talk to, and friends to hang out with. Not to mention the excessive naps needed for a student in college" The struggle is REAL! Readings get shorter for class. Don't skip um, quizzes coming.
ReplyDeleteReading is not that bad unless you have a lot of classes to read for. I hope I don't have to take philosophy because that class has a lot of reading. At least that's what I heard
